We specialize in Three Day Eventing, Dressage and Jumping. We offer training programs for all levels of horse and rider.
No horse? No problem! We have competition-ready lesson horses. We offer lesson programs for all levels of rider from beginner to advanced.
Diane Slater, owner/trainer, has 30 years of riding experience. Her experience includes eventing, low-level show jumping, dressage up to Prix St. George, western pleasure, barrel racing, working cattle, and driving horses. Diane has been training horses and teaching students for 25 years. She holds a British Horse Society certification for teaching and horse management. Diane studied and trained in England for several years to obtain her credentials from the BHS.
She started the first BHS training/testing program in California. This was the first of its kind on the West Coast and 1 of 5 in the USA.
Our goal is to make sure that our riders learn safety around horses, good horsemanship and horse management. Most important is to have fun with our horses.
OUR RIDERS
Our riders compete in local, regional and national events. We also participate in cross country, jumpers, and dressage schoolings and clinics through out the year.
We have been involved with the IEL, Interscholastic Equestrian League, since 2002, and have had multiple champion and reserve champion horse/riders throughout the years. We have been the home barn for the UCLA equestrian team and several of our riders have gone on to join other college teams.
Our riders have enjoyed many successful seasons in Eventing and have qualified for regional and national titles.
We also enjoy trail rides, working with cows and riding obstacle courses.
